Goal:
Faith Force's "Breaking the Barriers" is about promoting healthy
self-esteem, teamwork, overcoming obstacles ' and achieving success
in the lives of individuals and schools. These assemblies are not
only a great deal of fun and highly motivating, but they also teach
values that can change the lives of those who attend.
How About This:
Each school that hosts a "BTB" assembly has the opportunity to have
the Faith Force team to focus their "message" on whatever issues the
individual school is dealing with the most. For example: "Getting
good grades and Dealing with anger" could be the main focus of an
assembly. It is whatever the school principal/administration requests.
A list of topics can be found on the
School Assembly Request Form.
And once again, these are done in a highly motivating manner. At all
the assemblies shirts, hats, etc. are given away, and there are
opportunities for audience participation!
Please keep in mind that Faith Force performs for all ages--elementary,
middle, and high schools. The assemblies are always fun and
entertaining, yet purposefully geared to the age of the students and
the requests of the school administration.
Cost:
The fee for a school assembly is a fee of $500. This includes all the
materials and expenses of the Faith Force team. However, if this is
not possible by the school's budgeted money, there are a few easy ways
to help a school cover the cost. If a school has an active PTA they
may be able to assist in whatever way is needed. Area businesses are
also good ways to provide the money for a "BTB" assembly. One thing's
for sure, it will be money well spent. We do not want cost to be a
reason not to have a "BTB" school assembly. We simply ask for each
school to do their very best and Faith Force will do as much as
possible to make it happen!
School Assemblies Set-up & Break-down:
Faith Force will take care of the securing of material and delivery to
the schools and set up and clean up. Each school is asked to provide
a group of 5 to 6 students to assist (only Middle Schools and High
Schools). If the assembly is taking place at an elementary school
BTB will have a team of volunteers to set up and break down.
A sound system capable of enough volume to overcome the sounds of
1,000 students should be secured to insure that the feats of strength
are heard clearly. This may require additional speakers, a system to
play music, and a wireless microphone.
